Six soul exercises for developing the heart chakra
A shared journey through Rudolf Steiner’s six supplementary exercises – supported by a vibrant community – accompanied by a dedicated team.
Rudolf Steiner outlined six fundamental soul exercises for the development of the heart chakra. These are intended to provide the soul with such inner stability, security and balance that it can freely unfold its heart’s powers despite the manifold demands of modern external and internal life. They serve to develop concentration, willpower, equanimity, positivity, impartiality and harmony within the soul.
“One might say that every individual human being, by nature and destiny, carries within them a pure, ideal human being, and that the great task of their existence is to harmonise with the unchanging unity of this being amidst all their vicissitudes.”
Friedrich Schiller

In recent years, the World Peace Index has recorded a dramatic increase in global conflicts and violence. We counter this with a path of the heart, which we walk in a large worldwide community with hundreds of different people in 12–14 languages. In this way, a peace force is created in spiritual connectedness. Individual and regional characteristics can thereby be experienced no longer as a threat, but as an enrichment. During the course, opportunities for intercultural exchange and encounter arise.
The six spiritual exercises form the heart of the course. Rudolf Steiner emphasised the importance of practising them in the specified order and with inner consistency. We will devote four weeks to each exercise in depth. In return, you will receive a lovingly designed set of cards for your daily individual practice, as well as a varied programme of communal activities including international conferences held every four weeks, translated live into our languages. Your personal process of will and your immersion in the exercises will be supported and sustained by weekly letters, regional groups and tandem partners.

5–15 minutes of focused thinking each day on a subject of your choice. This fosters inner alertness, clarity and a growing confidence in your own ability to think.
Strengthens the ability to actually carry out what one has set out to do. One becomes more steadfast and clear-minded. Contentment and confidence in one’s own abilities develop.
Meeting life's joys and sorrows, highs and lows, with equanimity. Maintaining inner spiritual balance without suppressing feelings. Strengthening feeling.
Seeking out the good, the excellent and the beautiful in all experiences. Conflicts can dissolve into harmony; the world becomes more peaceful, encounters more fulfilling.
Approach every new experience without prejudice. Life becomes richer, gratitude increases, intuitive power grows, the unknown can emerge, the future opens up.
The sixth exercise unites all the previous ones into a single whole. Balance, harmony of the spiritual powers – a synthesis of inner training.
Every four weeks, participants come together in a joint conference – as a conclusion of the previous exercise and as an introduction to the new one. The conferences take place twice on that day: in the morning in English with translation into the eastern languages, in the evening in German with translation into the western languages. Over the Christmas period, a three-week pause invites reflection and inner deepening.

"We accept every kind of human being," says Maria in the first Mystery Drama by Rudolf Steiner. She speaks of tolerance towards the Other, the foreign and the unfamiliar. We therefore delight in the diversity of people with their different perspectives and cultural backgrounds who join us on our path of the heart. For all these people, the worldwide impulse for peace and mutual understanding is a matter of deep inner concern. Various cooperation partners and friends walk a spiritual path with us for a time. These include the Anthroposophical Societies of various countries, Elefant for Peace, Free Columbia, the Institute for Integrative Medicine at the University of Witten/Herdecke, Greenseeds and others.
Since 2019, we have been developing modern and innovative training paths based on Anthroposophy and the writings of Rudolf Steiner. Since 2021, our projects have been supported by the Institute for Spiritual Activity and the non-profit association Leben im Denken e.V. Since the beginning of our initiatives, we have reached a worldwide community of over 3,000 participants in 14 languages and more than 50 countries through our courses. Our work is sustained by a large international network of volunteers. You can see some of these people below:
